Accounting Technician

What we are looking for
College diploma (DEC) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field;
3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within an SME environment;
Excellent written and spoken French (English proficiency is a strong asset);
Proficiency with QuickBooks accounting software;
Good knowledge of macOS and Google Workspace tools;
Strong attention to detail, rigor, and excellent organizational skills;
Discretion and respect for the confidentiality of financial information.
What your day-to-day might look like
Maintain the company’s accounting records, from general journal entries to financial statement preparation;
Record and classify financial transactions in accordance with the company’s accounting structure;
Manage accounts receivable, monitor payments, and process incoming funds;
Manage accounts payable, including processing supplier invoices and preparing payment runs;
Prepare and process employee payroll accurately and on schedule;
Compile and submit sales tax returns (GST/QST) within required deadlines;Perform month-end and adjusting journal entries;
Generate accounting and financial reports (balance sheets, income statements, etc.) to support management decisions;
Assist with year-end closing and collaborate with the external accounting firm;
Keep administrative and financial records up to date, ensuring compliance and data confidentiality.
